Teaching and Sketchnoting in Tel Aviv
At the beginning of April, I was invited to attend and teach a workshop on "Sketching Interfaces" at UX Salon in Tel Aviv.
The workshop was the biggest I ever taught (with just over 50 people). It was a lot of fun and the participants did great work and although the group critiques were a bit more chaotic than usual, we had great discussions and everybody learnt a lot.
Before the workshops, there was a day of excellent talks by Erika Hall, Mike Monteiro, Adrian Zumbrunnen, Roy Tzezana (who had a slightly creepy appearance as a robot) and many more. I used the occasion to do some sketchnotes as well:
After the conference I took a few days off to travel down to the Dead Sea, float in the briny water, climb up to the 2000-year-old desert fort of Masada and hike in the beautiful Oasis of Ein Gedi. All-in-all my first trip to Israel was a fantastic experience and I'll surely be back.
