Emotional Viztober 2023 recap

For many years, October has traditionally been ‘Inktober’ month – a month where many creatives draw everyday from a list of prompts. There are many flavours and variations of these prompt lists and this year I decided to share my own list and invite anybody who would like to join to sketch a different emotion every day.

Below you can see the prompt list and my own 31 drawings. The originals can be found on my instagram account @evalottchen.

I would also highlight some drawings by others who took part and posted their drawings every single day. The entries reached from very simple quick sketches to quite elaborate illustrations. There were some hand-drawn sketches and a lot of digital work. And for each emotion there were many different ways to depict it.
