Pragmatic Sketching at Beyond Tellerrand Berlin 2022
I ‘only’ wanted to attend Beyond Tellerrand Conference Berlin 2022 as a participant, enjoying two days of inspirational talks on design, technology, illustration and many more interesting topics. But the day before the conference I got a message from my friend Marc (who organises the conference) asking if I could jump in for one of the speakers who got ill and couldn’t come and give their talk.
Of course the answer was ‘yes’, and so I entered the stage on Friday morning to open day 2 and talk about Pragmatic Sketching. I invited the audience to draw along with me and learn the basics of sketching for the purpose of making things clearer.
You can watch the recording of the talk below:
Learn Pragmatic Sketching with me
If you enjoyed this talk and would like to learn more about Pragmatic Sketching, , I will teach my full Pragmatic Sketching Masterclass (a 3 month online course) again starting on the 10th of October. And in spring there will be a German edition.
The class is for anyone who wants to learn (even from scratch) to draw things in a simple, clear and pragmatic way or who wants to improve their current sketching practice by taking a more detailed view at how to approach sketching things, people, actions, emotions, faces and hands and anything else in a structured but also playful way.

The sketchnote you can see here was done by Hannah Rauschel. I love the simple portrait of me :D
